How to play

For this game you will need a dealer who is also playing in the game.

The dealer will deal each player 1 card face down on the table. The players can look at their own cards but must not see any one else’s cards. The aim of the game is to not have the lowest card at the end of the round (card order= ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, jack, queen, king.)

Once the cards are dealt all of the players may look at their cards (but only their own). If a player has a king, they can put that on the table face up in front of them (explained below.) The player to the right of the dealer goes first, if they have a low card and think the person to their right has a higher card they may choose to swap with the player, this player (the one asked to swap) has no choice but to swap. This continues around the table until it is the dealer’s turn again, the dealer may keep his or her card or pick a card from the deck.

If a player has put a king down face up on the table then the player on their left cannot trade with them and must keep their card, the player to the right of the player holding the King continues the game as normal. The loser then becomes the dealer.
